The problem with that logic is that no one would let drunkenness wear off before clicking the next bottle. Besides the first lvl5 drink, each one might as well be lvl3 for all the use you get out of it.

Skyy high...read the rest of my post. You THEN use level 1's after that to keep yourself drunk, so they're not wasted. Level 5 to get drunk, level 1 every minute after. If there were no level 5's, there would be only level 1's, and you'd have to click 5 to get to maximum drunk duration. Therefore, a level 5 is worth the SAME as 5 level 1's. Savvy?

level 1 booze is worth more than 100g because:
-for certain level 1 booze, merchant pays 100g each. merchant sells lvl 1 booze for 200g each. using this is where players get prices from 125-150 per lvl 1. really anywhere between 110-190 makes sense.
-level 5 booze sells for less than 5 level ones added up because:
-players buy them in stacks for title. if they had only like 20 lvl 5's and dozens of stacks of lvl 1's, then yes, players could start with a 5 and use 1s each minute (or use the zone trick) as intended for little booze time loss. but this isnt how players are doing it...they have stacks of lvl 5's, and are using the zone trick, basically getting 3 minutes per lvl 5 booze, and losing 2 minutes per (because your drunk level caps out at 5; they use a +5 while at lvl 3 drunk, putting them at 5 and having a 2 minute loss). if you can find someone paying 500+ each for large quantities of lvl 5 booze, then you are extremely lucky and should sell immediately
anyway, the game market determines these prices, and i would reccomend watching the buy/sell forums, or what people in kamadan are selling/buying for in a week if you still dont believe me

The drop rate, in my experience, has been pretty erratic all weekend. Thursday afternoon, I didn't get crap for drops - 2 clearing Ft. Ranick mission, a couple vanquishing Jahai Bluffs, etc. That night, I got 10 - 12 doing Ft. Ranick, 6-7 Tengu farming outside LA.
Today, I went outside Nolani Acadamy farming Gargoyle skulls and got 14 grogs on my first run, 1 on my second run. It's all a matter of luck, as always.

Lame. I would have been impressed if they made something up that had to do with Peace Day on Sept, 21. Maybe have some special quests that bring peaceful negociations between norns/asura/char/humans and lux/kurz and kourna/vabbi/istan
Oh wait, there are too many little kids playing for there to be a day of PEACE in a video game *sigh*

Whats more important anyway? Pirates or peace?
No matter how you look at it, it'll always be pirates.

Unfortunately, since we don't have the luxury of being able to choose what ale drops or what level it is, and since people are buying bulk stacks of grog since that's what is dropping, what one could do and what a player actually has to do to earn the title are completely separate.
@shoyon, what would happen after peace day? The game can't permanently be all sunshine and roses, that kinda removes the need for you to kill sh**. So, what, all the peace talks fall apart 2 days later? That's real nice.

Well, this is the most unique QQ in the past week.
There are more "unoffical holidays" then there are days in the year. Just look at the number of official holidays...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ays_by_country
I mean, why no Belizian Independence Day (September 21) celebration? Bulgairan Independence Day (Sept 22), Malta Indepen. (Sep 21), or Glories of the Army Day (sept. 19).
PS. Peace Day isn't even official enough to be on that wikipedia list. Glories of the Army Day (which sounds like the exact opposite of Peace Day) is at least an official government holiday somewhere.

That's because you're looking at a list of holidays BY COUNTRY, when International Peace Day isn't either a. country specific or b. a public holiday.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Day_of_Peace might help you a bit more.
As for why no recognition of any number of minor, single country holidays, because they're just that. Guild Wars is an international game and hence minor country specific holidays get no recognition.
While I think the original call for a celebration in GW of Peace Day is a bit strange, your response is lacking in reasoning.

I would be a bit careful with CE Devilman's advice, because a lot of time that didn't work for me. Most places supposedly had time zones and problems with getting the quick drunkard minutes and their have been many changes.
You can check the community works forum for the drunkard guide, but always make sure that you have your title screen open to check if you actually get all your points or not.

The drunk trick works, it's just not automatic. You can find certain spots (like a particular outpost and your guild hall) that when you zone back and forth it uses all your drunk minutes. Thus, drink a level 5 booze, zone, make sure your drunk went up 3 minutes (if not then zone again, it usually will) drink, zone, etc. That way instead of taking 3 minutes to get 3 minutes of drunk, it takes less than a minute (but wastes the 'extra' 2 minutes of the level 5 booze)
